Rakon France has 3 R&D teams: at Mougins, in Sophia Antipolis Technological Park, at Troyes and at Argenteuil (Paris area)

The main goal of R&D activities is to create, promote and deliver high technological, value-added and innovative solutions to our customers.

Focusing on discontinuous improvement of existing product portfolio and breakthrough innovations, R&D teams are creating the future technological trends. Innovative products end engineering design capabilities make Rakon France an obvious partner providing with High- Reliability product for aerospace and defense systems.

In Mougins, a R&D team is dedicated to advanced studies and innovation. Its mission is to anticipate new trends of ISM, Military & Space markets and develop new products concepts basing on mixing quartz, SAW, analog and digital techniques.

At the manufacturing plant, in Troyes, near Paris, a R&D team is dedicated to the development of new products and their transfer into production. Team mission is to improve continuously performances of existing solutions, to develop new platforms in collaboration with advanced R&D, and to customize generic solutions and support technically the project managers.

Main research areas deal with:

- Quartz crystal modelling & performances improvement

- Ultra Low Noise frequency sources (Crystal oscillators, SAW oscillators, Synthesizers)

- Ultra Stable Oscillators

- Digital programmable signal generators (Chirp, FMCW) and processors (Pulse compression)

- UWB SAW-based sub-systems (Pulse compression, CSS Telecom, real time Fourier transform)

Rakon France Hi-Rel BU spends 12% of its turnover on research and development .
