November 2008 : TEMEX at the ARMMS Conference in Corby (UK) to present its outstanding new range of very high performance ULN SAW Oscillators.
Last November, TEMEX successfully presented its new product line of ULN (Ultra Low Noise) SAW Oscillators in the range of 300 to 600 MHz at the ARMMS RF & Microwave Society Conference in Corby, UK.
The ARMMS organizes two conferences a year with a selection of high quality papers on a range of RF and Microwave topics.
 
TEMEX R&D Director, Michel CHOMIKI, was invited to present the amazing and unequalled performance of the new product line of ULN SAW Oscillators that achieve the lowest noise floor at RF frequencies in the specific range where the radar systems are limited in their detection of objects by noise.
 
 At 500 MHz for instance, TEMEX new ULN OCSO shows a phase noise as low as -167dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset and an impressive noise floor of -182 dBc/Hz.
 
These characteristics were measured during the conference with the new noise spectrum analyzer, DCNTS from Aeroflex that allows the system to use cross-correlation to cancel its internal noise and limitation in order to extract the exact phase noise of a given oscillator from the measurements of a set of three similar oscillators as shown in the images:
 
              
 
Typical demanding application is the cleaning of noise floor up to microwave frequencies either for military airborne radar or instrumentation & test equipment devoted to measure ultra low noise oscillators.
TEMEX ULN SAW oscillators are proposed in two grades of packaging according to environmental conditions:
      Grade B for stabilized platform applications like instrumentation & test, radar simulation
      and ground based equipment,
       Grade D for airborne applications with harsh environmental conditions.
